Here at Tiger Rock Liverpool, we have got a whole host of Malaysian dishes on offer for our customers. In this article, we will be taking a look at five of the best and most popular Malaysian food options that we have available on our menu, each containing their own unique ingredients that results in all of them having truly succulent tastes.
We will begin with Rojak Kacang. Also known as Rujak, this has its origins in the southeast of the Asian continent, and it is deemed a culturally-identifiable fruit and vegetable offering. It is very common in Malaysia, but it is also very popular in other countries such as Indonesia and Singapore. This blend of traditional fruits comes with peanut, egg and tofu salad as side offering when you sample Rojak Kacang at Tiger Rock.
Next up, we have got Scallop Tempura. Although this is deemed a Malaysian dish, its origins come from Japan, and it is generally a mixture of local seafood and any one of a variety of different vegetables, which are then battered and deep fried before being served to the person sampling the food. In this case, the Scallop would be the seafood, and a very appetising one at that! We provide steamed aubergines and Malay spice with the dish when cooking it in both of our two Liverpool restaurants.
We have got other Malaysian dishes that are well worth a try. Nasi Goreng is a specialised form of spicy chicken fried rice that is served with a fried egg sitting on the top. Chicken Satay is one of the most common and requested Malaysian dishes that you will find; it is a very recognisable food from this part of the world. Finally, we have Nasi Lemak, which at its core is a fragrant rice dish that comes alongside peanuts, a spicy sambal, a boiled egg and dried anchovies, all of which are then wrapped in banana leaves.
These are just some of our many great Malaysian dishes available to eat here at Tiger Rock Liverpool. You can read all about them by going to our resource pages, where you can check out our full menus.
